Cherubim

Unknown artist   -   Mizrach

Two cherubim stand above the gates of prayer, each holding up a sphere in which half of the word “mizrach” appears. They are depicted as winged leopards with hooves legs and the heads of eagles. Between them are two hands making the priestly blessing, and the scene is filled with various animals and circular designs.
